Inrix Hires PBS&J Executive Rick Schuman
to Lead Public Sector Efforts

ITS Industry Veteran Joins Leading Traffic Data Firm

KIRKLAND, WA – July 10, 2006 – Inrix announced today that Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) industry veteran, Rick Schuman, is joining Inrix to lead public sector business development and sales. As Vice President, Division Manager, Transportation Network Information Services at PBS&J, Rick managed numerous consulting projects in the areas of traveler information and ITS data collection planning and implementation for the U.S. Department of Transportation, ITS America, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and state DOTs and local agencies.

"Rick brings to Inrix unique and extensive experience with ITS data collection and advanced traveler information systems, including direct involvement in dozens of initiatives involving 511 service definition and delivery," said Bryan Mistele, president and CEO of Inrix. "He is a natural fit to lead this new role at Inrix designing innovative public-private partnerships with local, state and federal agencies."

At PBS&J, Rick was responsible for creating the nation's first consulting practice focused specifically on travel information, real-time transportation data collection and analysis. Key assignments during his tenure included serving as the Deputy Program Manager for the iFlorida ITS Model Deployment, a major federal project implemented by Florida DOT, during its design phase and as a senior advisor in its deployment phase. Rick also served as the Principal-in-Charge for North Carolina's and Virginia's 511 services, and was key in forming and has served as a senior advisor to the national 511 Deployment Coalition.

Prior to joining PBS&J in 1999, Rick served in senior roles at ITS America since its inception in 1991. At ITSA, Rick led efforts to facilitate public/private partnerships to deploy advanced traveler information systems (ATIS) services in metropolitan areas, served as program manager of a project to develop a framework for developing regional ATIS business models, and initiated efforts to establish data quality guidelines for ATIS.

Rick joins Inrix as vice president, public sector and is starting a new regional Inrix office in Orlando, Florida. He is the co-author of a recently published book, Advanced Traveler Information Systems. Rick holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and a M.S. in Systems Engineering from George Mason University.
